Beauty- March Glossybox Review!

Hi guys,
As many of you know I subscribe to Glossybox & have done for about a year now but I rarely review them. This month I felt like sharing as I was disappointed with the box and wanted to know what everyone else thought.
As the end of February was LFW the box was based around 'city chic' and was very glamorous/girly (like usual but even more so) and all about getting that 'glossy, groomed look city girls miraculously manage to maintain' (from the leaflet).

When I first looked inside I was impressed as it all looked so colour co-ordinated and chic but as I looked at the products in depth I was rather disappointed. The products are as follows:

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant
'A tried and tested classic, this is every girl on the go's must-have staple. Created in 1930 by Elizabeth Arden to soothe and protect your skin, Eight Hour Cream was an instant success and has been one of the UK beauty editor's favourite product for the past 7 years! A little goes a long way with this intensive moisturiser, so use it sparingly'.
Full size: £25 for 50ml

I'm not one for heavy moisturisers and this is so so thick and gloopy, and realy weighs down on the skin. It also smells really weird (don't quite know how to describe it haha- it's not nice at all!). It did make my skin feel ulta-soft after using it but I can find the same feeling from a cream half the price and that I would prefer.

Juicy Couture- 'Couture La La'
'Couture La La is a clear tribute to the Juicy Couture woman's layered personality; confident and fearless and at the same time flirty and feminine! Capturing the three main aspects of her personality. Couture La La is feminine with bright florals, daring with bold florals and deminine with sensual woods and musk. Without even trying, the Couture La La girl is always centre of attention- whether its with her innovative viewpoint at a business meeting or her carefree dancing at an impromptu party!'
Full size: £63 for 100ml

I swear you're going to think all I do is moan on my blog but I don't like this product either haha. It's way too overpowering and musky for a women's scent in my opinion but I have always had a strong disliking to any perfume that isn't floral/delicate (even though in the description is says 'floral' it definitely is not! and you'd certainly have to be 'fearless' to wear this perfume!).

Nails INC St. James
'St. James- the original aristocratic residential area of London is still home to most of London's best known gentlemen's clubs and a variety of private banks, trusts and upmarket restaurants. Well-dressed brokers, bankers and gallerists populate the streets and ladies who lunch abound. Be like the locals with nails inc's show stopping red named after this upmarket area. A classic, pillar box red, this will add instant glamour to any outfit!'
Full size: £11 for 10ml

Normally, I HATE nails inc due to constant peeling/chipping but since trying this nail varnish my perception of the brand has completely changed! St. James is fast drying, is hard to chip and the colour is beautiful. I've been looking for a good quality pillar box red for a long time and even Barry M (my favourite nail brand) can't top this! I would recommend this to anyone.

TRESemme Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray
'Tired of creating salon-worthy hair that doesn't last throughout your busy day? So were we, until we discovered TRESemme Salon Finish Hold Hairspray. With a fast drying professional performance formula, this hero hairspray provides all day flexible control with long lasting extra firm hold that is humidity resistant and brushes out with ease. What's not to love?!'
Full size: £4.69 for 500ml

As a fan of hairdressing brands such as Bed Head and Wella, I would not rate TRESemme as 'salon-worthy' however this spray does do the job. My hair is very thick and drops as soon as I step outside so I have to apply a lot of hairspray. TRESemme does work but not as well as my Bed Head hairspray (as you'd expect from a price 3x as much). Therefore TRESemme won't be replacing my usual brand but I would recommend it to someone looking for a new product to try out.

Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics Lip Blush
'Want to make a bold statement? A juicy lip stain and moisturiser in one, Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetic's Lip Blush is an effective multi-tasker, and a must-have for any girl on the go. Beeswax and ceresin wax create a sheer, smooth application'
Full size: £12for 2.5g

When I first opened the box, I was disappointed to see a lip pencil in there as I never use them however my opinion has changed as this is the equivalent of a light-weight lipstick. I adore this product and will be using it a lot as it's a perfect day-time alternative to a lipstick. It also stays on longer than any lipstick I've ever had and does not come off on glasses/cutlery as easy. I've also found it doesn't drag like a lipstick because it soaks into the lips like a lipstain rather than sit on top of them. I love love love this product and will be buying again!
